Normally, changes to the database (such as copying the entire Spartan database files) will immediately show up in Edge. I've been working on a project that read/writes directly to the Edge database, so I've learned a lot about how it works. I'm still looking for a way to handle this with USMT, but I'm starting to think this won't be possible. I realize we could certainly do this with a script and backup to a file share, but we're trying to avoid adding moreĬomplexity if possible. This may have to do with how the new Win_32 apps load settings for users signing in for the first time.
The spartan file gets backed up and restored properly, but for some reason the favorites do not appear in the restored Today I wrote out a new section in the MigApp.xml file to backup the folders associated with the Edge favorites ( %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\DataStore).
